This week we took it up a notch with some mean grooves from Beirut’s booth queen Joelle Safi. Being a metalhead at heart, Joelle started DJing at the age of 15 for a radio station back in 1997. She learnt mixing on wax and started getting involved in the scene in 2003 after winning the 3rd place at an international competition.
She is a resident of Minimal Efforts, Lebanon and she plays Minimal, Tech house and Tech. What is not known about Joelle is that she reflects her mood and life in each set she plays or podcast she mixes which is why every single set of hers is different than the other which makes her fans always look forward to her next release. The mix she prepared for Revolver tells a personal story that she left hints of in its title. One can only guess what it was.
Along with her distinct beauty, Joelle defines her vibe in her choice of tracks.
Check out her exclusive Revolver Podcasts entry, a set she called: The Con Artist JokEr
